My dad and dogs
December 22, 2005
Sigh. I really can’t believe I’m doing this, but you know, you’re supposed to obey your parents.
My dad is trying to decide which of three dogs to get, and he can’t decide. So, he’s posted three dog pictures on his blog, and he asked me to ask you, my faithful readers, to go help him decide which dog they should get.
Here’s the complicating factor: my mom does not want a dog. So, by merely posting this post on my blog, am I choosing between my parents? Am I contributing to a battle of mythical proportions between husband and wife? Will this get me written out of the will?
So, here is my LEGAL DISCLAIMER before I post a link to my dad’s blog: Gregg’s gambles is in no way responsible for any dog decision. Links in posts should not be construed as being in favor of or against said dog decision. Views expressed do not necessarily reflect the views of the management. Past performance no guarantee of future results. Your mileage may vary. Contents may have settled in transport.
END DISCLAIMER. Go vote on a dog.

Just to clear things up, Gregg’s mom wouldn’t go out and get a dog on her own, but she has willingly said she’ll “go along with having a dog”. Just ask her. What this means, of course, is that I get all the dog-related “chores”, and she gets to just play with him.
What “will”?

I thought Quakers didn’t vote . . .

Can’t they even “indicate a preference?”

My first “vote” is with Kay Lynne. I don’t dig dogs, so I’d say no to the whole deal. BUT… if I had to pick one, it would be the lab

It depends…are you wanting it only for the meat?
