Testing…

Date June 28, 2006

I’m testing something. If you can see this post, would you please post a comment? It would really help. Thanks.

That book I linked the other day? It’s big time!

Date June 26, 2006

Ok, I’m getting SERIOUSLY impressed with my friend Debby and her book on Henry Ward Beecher. Her book made the cover of the LA Times book review section yesterday! I’m continuing to enjoy the book myself. Check out her website on the book, if you haven’t ordered the book yet.

Better than new?

Date June 26, 2006

I realized yesterday that I have been failing to do something I said I would do: I was (for a brief period of time)putting up BEFORE Sunday the bible text we would be looking at in worship, and asking for your reflections as a way to have others shape and give input and help [...]

Friends in high places

Date June 23, 2006

Stolen Fields and Itching Ears

Date June 18, 2006

Today in worship we dedicated two babies to God, in the process committing ourselves as a church family to be people through whom God loves those babies and families in real ways. We prayed for our friends who were involved in a climbing accident yesterday, including long time reader Liz’s husband Brad as well as [...]

Small and simple

Date June 17, 2006

Quite awhile back, I bookmarked Kiva after seeing it on Peggy’s blog (Thanks, Peggy!). What a fantastic idea: a simple way to loan as little as $25 to an entrepreneur in the two-thirds world. Kiva forwards 100% of your money to their partners around the world, who loan the money that helps break the cycle [...]

Our God is Involved!

Date June 12, 2006

We finally began our series on Micah…God is opening a lot in me from looking at this book. Here’s what I shared yesterday.
