Quaker Crazies

When I finished my “Top Ten Reasons Why I’m a Quaker” list, I caught myself mentally making another, quite different list. I want to be clear: I’m completely committed to being a Quaker. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. But that doesn’t mean we are perfect; and the list my mind was making was a list of the “Top 10 Things About Quakers that Drive Me Crazy.” So when Dan McCracken said Barclay Press was looking for someone to write a similar list, I realized I had to say yes and take on the assignment.

I’m guessing this may prove more controversial than my first list, so I want to invite you to disagree, challenge, push, and prod in the comments. Don’t worry about hurting my feelings! I’ll begin tomorrow morning to publish one reason per day.
